Golf

Tournament

  • The tournament winner will be settled if a trophy is awarded and the minimum number of holes stipulated in the Market Details have been completed.
  • If a tournament is shortened, bets matched after what then becomes the final round are rendered void.
  • If a player fails to tee off for the first round, all bets on that player are rendered void.
  • At the start of the tournament, where a market is to be set to Live Betting, unmatched bets will be cancelled and the market set to Live Betting. Thereafter, unmatched bets will not be cancelled at any point, until the end of each round. At the end of each round the market will be suspended, unmatched bets will be cancelled and the market reopened.
  • If an entrant is unconditionally settled in good faith by WBX, and the market is subsequently rendered void, settlements are not reversed. Subsequent settlements of remaining entrants are made with regards to this new information. WBX’s decision is final.
  • At the cut stage, entrants who have failed to make the cut will be removed  from the market. Any profit made on this market will be held until the market has been officially settled.

Match/Group Betting

  • The player who progresses the furthest, or the player with the lowest score, is the winner.
  • If all players miss the cut, the lowest score up to this point determines the settlement.
  • The winner is settled on the basis of the official result, inclusive of any play-offs. If all players fail to complete their scheduled rounds, settlement is dependent on the official result where available. If no official result is declared, bets are rendered void.
  • All named players must tee off for bets to stand.
  • If one player is disqualified, either prior to the completion of two rounds, or after both players have made the cut, his opponent is deemed the winner.
  • If a player is disqualified during the 3rd or 4th rounds, when their opponent(s) has already missed the cut, the disqualified player is deemed the winner.
  • In the event of players being tied, Dead Heat rules will apply.

Place Betting

  • The loser/s of a play-off is deemed to have finished in second place.
  • If an entrant is unconditionally settled in good faith by WBX, and the market is subsequently rendered void, settlements are not reversed. Subsequent settlements of remaining entrants are made with regards to this new information. WBX’s decision is final.
  • Dead Heat rules apply.

Two/Three Ball Betting

  • All named players must tee-off for bets to stand.
  • The winner is the player with the lowest score. If a player is disqualified or does not complete their round for any reason, their opponent(s) is deemed the winner.
  • If all players fail to complete the round, bets are rendered void.

Stableford Scoring System

  • Occasionally golf tournaments may be subject to the 'Stableford' scoring method. In such cases, markets which were settled on the basis of lowest score, are settled on the basis of highest score.
  • Several variations to the 'Stableford' scoring system exist. Members are advised to check before placing bets that they understand the points system in effect for that tournament.
  • The two most common are the 'Classic Stableford' scoring system and the 'British Stableford' scoring system. The points awarded under each system are listed below.

The 'Classic Stableford' scoring system is:

  • Double Eagle 8pts
  • Eagle 5pts
  • Birdie 2pts
  • Par 0pts
  • Bogey  -1pts
  • Double Bogey+  -2pts

The 'British Stableford' scoring system is:

  • Eagle 4pts
  • Birdie 3pts
  • Par 2pts
  • Bogey 1pts
  • Double Bogey+ 0pts
