Eddie ‘The Shoe’ Fremantle brings us his exclusive plays of the day

Eddie FremantleImaginary Diva ran over six furlongs at Yarmouth in the week and that proved too far for the speedy filly. She drops back to the correct distance in the 5.30 at Nottingham and this looks a much less hot  event. First and second at Yarmouth were two from powerful Newmarket yards while the third Mazzola was holding his own in decent class last year. This fillies' event looks right up Imaginary Diva's street. Amosite is still a maiden and by no means straightforward but she has terrific early speed and could be a big danger if trappiing in her usual fashion.

In the 6.35 Cornish Castle looks well-placed to follow up his cosy course-and-distance win. Graham Gibbons did not need to resort to the stick for Cornish Castle to beat Labisa and I don't think the runner-up let the form down when second again at Beverley this week. Cornish Castle has only a 5lb rise to contend with and he looks banker material for Tim Walford, who is a trainer to take note of at all times.
