Yarmouth Racing (14/04/09) Triple Champion Hurdle winning jockey Steve Smith Eccles previews the action.
I have heard a little whisper for the Willie Haggas-trained Lovely Thought before the 3.20 who won in first time blinkers here last time out before being put away for the winter. The worry here is that she drops back a furlong in trip on much faster going which and has also been put up eight pounds but she should run well regardless. Aakef looks the most likely winner of the 3.50 and is the subject of strong vibes here in town. This son of Exceed And Excel won a six furlong maiden here last year, so clearly handles the track, and more importantly has been gelded over the winter. He is now concentrating on the job in hand and is certainly expected to run a big race this afternoon. Finally, Bullet Man returns to action in the lucky last at 4.50. Lightly raced for a four year old, he has gradually improved since being switched to the all weather culminating in victory at Lingfield in December on his fourth start but has been upped seven pounds for that victory. Word from the gallops is that he has improved again at home since and his last piece of work suggested there is plenty more in the locker and he is expected to win today.
