Obezyana has been facing some stiff tasks of late but the Wolverhampton 1.50 is eminently more winnable. Claiming efforts behind the likes of Red Somerset and Electric Warrior were respectable given the unfavourable terms and an inexperienced rider got the fractions wrong in a decent handicap last time. A reproduction of his second to Titan Triumph in October would be good enough here (same mark) and Alan Bailey's horses are in good nick. Lee Newnes takes off a handy 3lb in this apprentice race and he's 3-7 at Wolverhampton, posting an impressive level stakes profit in the process.

Follow The Flag got no cover from a wide draw on his last start but still managed to place. The first and second have boosted the form since and he looks the most likely winner but Obezyana is the value call at around 11.0.

Duke Of Normandy ran well against the pace bias behind High Cross on his penultimate outing but Tae Kwon Do (5.10) came from even further back in a slowly run race. Why he is twice the price at 6.0 is probably down to connections and whilst the Johnston horses are flying at the moment, Tae Kwon Do was having only his second run for Julie Camacho and there could be more to come now he's reached peak fitness.
