I was impressed by My Moment's win at Aintree, where he made all the running (a rare feat on that track), jumped well and outstayed a fancied rival that looked sure to beat him two out. The pair finished well clear, the form looks solid, and the ground was a lot worse than the official good to soft, so conditions today are no problem. This looks a weaker race, with main market rival Son Of Flicka unproven on soft ground and only two or three with any potential amongst the rest. My Moment is around 11/10 on my tissue.

TRICKY TRICKSTER 2:35 Newbury Back at 2.8 or more

Tricky Trickster looked a certain future winner when second at the last Newbury meeting, beaten only by a well handicapped runner from the Henderson stable that dominated the day, the pair a long way clear of anything else. There's nothing of that quality in opposition today and with Tricky Trickster proven over the course and under these conditions, the only negative is the stable form. However, I reckon the drop off in their strike rate is the inevitable result of horses that were winning in Oct/Nov now being badly handicapped or penalised in novice company - plenty are still running well and Tricky Trickster certainly isn't badly handicapped himself.
