Eddie ‘The Shoe’ Fremantle brings us his exclusive plays of the day.

Richard Price has done extraordinary things with Cheveton this season and the gelding nearly won his sixth race from his last eight at Musselburgh last time when racing on the wrong side of the track. With Louis-Phillippe Beuzelin taking off 5lb he is 7lb better with the winner at the Scottish track, Hamish McGonagall and is going to go well again in Doncaster's 2.25.

Stablemate Kay Two is going to be a massive danger after his battling success at Pontefract last time and Price has booked another smart apprentice to take 5lb off in David Probert. With a draw nearer the middle of the field than Cheveton - the middle to stands' side looked the place to race yesterday - he is attractive at double figures.

Chris Gordon scored with Take A Mile the other day at Fontwell not long after taking over from another trainer and I note that Launde has his first run for Gordon in the 3.40 at Stratford. Providing Launde is fit and does not suffer too much from being taken on by Najca De Thaix for the lead, he is vastly overpriced at 20-1. He may be better at slightly shorter trips and I am sure that Gordon will be able to win races with him so will not be disheartened if today does not turn out to be the day.

Andy Turnell's Flat string have been going well lately and I reckon he is going to have a good jumps season too so Kew Jumper is worth a small saver. This one was feeling the effects of a very hard race at Ascot when beaten on his final outing of the spring and went close first time out last season.
