ELNAWIN - 2:20 Kempton - Back at 2.5 or more

Elnawin scored impressively last time over 6F at Newmarket in the rescheduled York sales race, beating the favourite, his stable companion Bonnie Charlie. That's the best form on offer here, but the question is whether Elnawin can reproduce it on Polytrack and on a turning track. His draw in stall 10 is a positive, as that should help his rider get a good position early - Weatherstaff from stall 12 is a likely front runner - and on the evidence of his last two runs, Elnawin is hard to pass once in front. The track was riding fairly fast yesterday evening and front runners were getting the best of the sprints - conditions that seem ideal for Elnawin's style of racing and he looks a solid favourite in a weak Group 3 contest.

FULLBACK - 8:20 Wolverhampton - Back at 2.6 or more

Fullback has finished second on all three starts, but there's nothing obviously wrong with his attitude and this return to a longer trip after his defeat over 7F last time looks a good move. He had no chance of beating the long odds on favourite then, but his previous run over 1M at Lingfield has been boosted by the subsequent wins of the fifth and eighth finishers, both beaten nearly ten lengths by Fullback. One of those winners, Orsippus runs here, but has a stiff task to reverse that form under a penalty. Poster looks the main danger, but his Leicester maiden win is nothing special and his breeding doesn't suggest to me that this longer trip will help him - he has to give 10lbs to Fullback and that looks tough.
