Pace looks a feature of the Brighton 3.00 and that should enable George Baker to deliver Scarlet Flyer late and wide, the best route to success at the Sussex course.

Gary Moore loves a winner at his local track and despite the 116 day lay-off I can't imagine Scarlet Flyer isn't tuned up for this. His course form last summer off higher marks in better races, including Brighton's flagship handicap, entitles him to plenty of respect in today's company and George Baker gets on particularly well with him. The Head Waiter has been on board for two seconds and two thirds and with the ground drying out all the time conditions look perfect for him to go one better. Prices just creeping into double figures look very fair.
