In the Beverley 3.20 Mr Rooney should make a bold bid to make all from stall 17 but his win record is poor for a horse of his ability and at the prices i'm happy to take him on with a more reliable performer in the shape of Babyshambles.

Ronnie Barr's sprinter is progressing with age and duely won first time out at Ripon, beating three of today's rivals in the process. He then followed up with a decent third at Hamilton off today's mark of 59. Last seasons form gives him the beating of Spirit Of Coniston but he looks a better horse these days anyway and rates a reasonable bet at around 8.6 from a decent double figure draw.

Over at Musselburgh the 4.10 race is a very tricky contest but I'm prepared to have a little on Wind Shuffle at around 10.0. The trade paper tissue of around 6/1 looks closer to the mark for this lightly raced handicapper who finished third to a stable mate last time over today's course and distance. Stellite has gone in again to frank the form and I think today's better ground will suit Gary Bartley's mount even better. Gary will know the horse a little better this time and I think we'll see the benefit of that with a better timed challenge.
