I think WBX will be in for a long day today with the offer of 0% Commission on winning favourites today as I think a lot of them will go well especially at the start of the card. I see people are already talking up the Guineas and New Approach but we wont know how strong it is until the end of the season and it really is a race for Paddock watchers to check the looks of New Approach.

The first favourite at Newmarket I want to get stuck into laying is Dr Faustus. I think this is a reputation horse whos price is based on supposed amazing pieces of work at home rather than what Ive seen on the racecourse. He has been working with a horse who won an egg and spoon race at Leicester and this is a far harder and more competitive race than that. I think it will come too late though for WBX who will have settled enough races at 0% already!

In the 545 I have also laid Celtic Spirit and think the horse has a lot to prove and is stepping up markedly in grade for todays assignment. In laying one horse there is enough opposition to have a few runners onside which is crucial.

Over at Goodwood the best horse to lay is Chantilly Tiffany in the 340. This horse started the season well with a nice run at Kempton which was a similar start to last year. The horse didnt really build on that and looked disappointing afterwards. Im expecting the same to happen today and in a hot race is worth laying. Keep this in mind and is worth keeping on side when very fresh.
