Eddie ‘The Shoe’ Fremantle brings us his exclusive plays of the day.

Eddie FremantleMiss Mitch looked just the sort for the final of the mares chase series when skipping to victory at Wincanton first time out. She suffered a setback when falling on a return visit and it looked as though the emphasis was very much on completing the course on her latest outing at Kempton. With Andrew Thornton sidelined, the very capable Daryl Jacob takes the ride for the final at Newbury (2.55) and she should be ready for the test. Quotes in double-figures are most acceptable.

At Bangor, there are opportunities in two small-field chases with Lankawi reverting to the right sort of trip in the 4.05. He ran well for a long way before failing to stay in the William Hill at Cheltenham and has been dropped a handy 6lb since.

In the 5.10 Leo's Lucky Star should be able to defy top weight if jumping properly. I was initially disappointed by his fourth on his latest hurdles run at Warwick but the exploits of Ede's, Glad Big, Psychiatrist and others makes that form look decnt.
