Eddie ‘The Shoe’ Fremantle brings us his exclusive plays of the day.

It looks like a quiet day at the office today, that office being Lingfield with some tight whose-turn-is-it handicaps featuring.

Were he not a maiden who has had plenty of chances then Best One would look a good thing in the seller (3.00) with Seb Sanders doing the steering. The drop back in distance will not matter, the only worry being that Best One has done his best running when ridden like a non-trier. In the hope that there will be plenty of pace on from the likes of Tang and Punching, I will be having a small bet at around 2.26.

Sanders should again be thereabouts on Music Box Express, a difficult ride, in the 4.05. This is a race in which six of the nine runners are likely to be jousting for the lead and with so much pace on the three expected to be ridden less prominently are likely to be favoured. Rocker, in stall two, may have traffic problems and is an unreliable sort. Stoneacre Boy, drawn widest of all, could be ignored in the market and is worth a saver with the main bet on Music Box Express, who drops back to his winning trip after fair efforts at Wolverhampton over six.
