Saturday Racing Pro punter Dave Nevison reveals his best bets of the day.
In the 1.00 I have laid Razor Royale of Twiston Davies. Earlier in the season I thought it looked a real good horse but it’s been disappointing of late. I have also had a small bet on Evelith Echo, a horse who is seriously overpriced and one I have been following this season. What a Friend has a strong form line with Carruthers, the winner of the Leamington at Warwick recently and could have beaten that horse for idling after the last so should be kept a close eye on. In the 2.40 I am with Our Vic and am prepared to take a price on him staying today as this is the only doubt I have about him at a course like today. I have been impressed with him over the last few seasons, perhaps one of the few and his beating of Neptune Collonges at Wetherby last season looks good when comparing the respective chances of the horses today. In the Juvenile hurdle I think we have the Nap of the day with Franchoek running. Already a course and distance winner I think he will again have too much for Tatenen and give McCoy, McManus et al a poser after the impressive victory of Binocular last weekend at Ascot. Kanonkop represents a solid formline from his last run at Cheltenham and could be overpriced. Over at Doncaster I think Hennessy is a good price to win after a good effort on New Years Day at Cheltenham when leading under an enterprising Paul Moloney ride.
