Wednesday Racing Pro punter Dave Nevison reveals his best bets of the day.
Ordnance Row (4.10pm) has been favourite on several occasions this season and is still yet to collect. He is a relatively short priced favourite yet again this afternoon so I will be laying him at the prices. There are several improvers in the field, notably Apex, so I expect something to beat him. The bet of the day for me is Oh Glory Bee (4.40pm). He simply loves it around here and also enjoys getting stuck in on this sort of ground. He ran an encouraging race on his seasonal debut last time and I expect him to prove too good for these today with that recent run under his belt. Over at Carlisle the two 16 runner handicaps offer us plenty of opportunity for win and place bets, and I’ve think I’ve found a couple. Regents Secret has some of his best form on this track and comes here on the back of a decent victory. At the age of seven he probably isn’t getting better but he has the form in the book to go very close for trainer Jim Goldie in the 3pm. I will be backing the bottom weight both win and place here. Tcherina has decent claims in the 4pm despite carrying top weight. Tim Easterby’s charge seems to reserve her very best for York, but I can see her running a big race here. The stable could not be in better form and to my eyes, Tcherina is an improving sort with more wins in her.
