Pro punter Dave Nevison reveals his best bets of the day.

I am up at Beverley today and reckon there are three horses to back.

James Fanshawe took the third race on today’s card, the 7.5 furlong three year old handicap, last season with subsequent easy Royal Ascot winner Sir Gerard, and he attempts to repeat the trick today with Artimino. I’ve been told this one has the Britannia as his Royal Ascot target (like Sir Gerard) and although my contact tells me that he might just need the run, I’m backing him anyway in the 3.25pm - it seems that every time I get a horse to bet on there is always a proviso that they ‘might need the run’.

Thirty minutes earlier Ed Dunlop runs the thrice raced Madaarek. This one has got into handicaps with just a platers mark and if he is going to pay his way this summer he simply has to win from this rating. He has been described as a good sort and should be too classy fror his opponents in the 2.55pm.

Richard Fahey has a great strike rate at Beverley and his Colette’s Choice in the 4.00pm must have every chance of collecting this 1m 2f fillies handicap. It’s her seasonal re appearance, but I am told she is fit enough and if back to the sort of form that saw her win at Pontefract last season she would have to go close, even if she is 7lbs higher for that 4 length victory.
