Racing TraderAn interesting day’s racing at Sedgfield, where the much faster ground than we have seen all winter is going to make it difficult for those not prepared to look beyond current form.

With that in mind, one I really want to be with is Silver Bow in the 4.20. This one looks to have everything in his favour today in regards to trip and ground, and I thought there were signs of a return to form last time when he beat half the field home in a competitive 17-runner handicap.

Five pounds lower in the weights than when last successful, we have seen some fair money for this one this morning, and it looks like connections are expecting a big run today.

With recent form figures to make most punters looks the other way, he could go off at a decent price this afternoon.

Another we’ve seen good money for is Whatcanyasay in the 3.50.

This one has been waiting for this quicker ground having looked all at sea in the mud this winter, and I think he’s well in here on his second with the first time cheek pieces earlier in the season. With the pieces back on today, connections are clearly up for this, and I think he looks a sound bet at a round 11.0 this morning.

Earlier in the day the progressive Mange Tout looks a sound bet to get his chasing career off the mark. This one has looked a natural over fences, and looks sure to be a much better chaser than hurdler.

Only beaten six lengths behind the top quality Another Promise and Rasharrow last time, Mange Tout looks a great bet – the only doubt is the quicker ground, but I’m very confident he’s going to at least handle it. It may even improve him further on breeding.

Be Lucky, and may all your bets be winning ones… The Trader
